Leadership Team

Jorge's highly accomplished entrepreneurial career began in the late 90's with MyAlert, a mobile messaging pioneer and leader in Europe. In 2001 MyAlert merged with Buongiorno, creating what is now one of the world's largest ringtone and mobile entertainment companies. Jorge was educated and trained in theoretical physics and then went on to a successful professional career in consulting at McKinsey & Company. Jorge was also a scientist at the prestigious CERN and Bell Labs and has twice been appointed Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in 2001 and 2002. Jorge holds an MS in Physics from Universidad Autonoma in Madrid, and an MBA from New York University with distinction. Jorge is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.

Babur's management and leadership career started in 1992 when he led Superonline for seven years as its CEO. Superonline was among the very first wave of internet companies in the world; currently, it is one of the most recognized internet brands in Turkey and remains a regional powerhouse. Since then Babur held CEO and COO responsibilities at Ixir, Lensec and DataCert; the latter ranked twice among the fastest growing 200 companies in the USA during his tenure. Babur serves as a board member and advisory board member in various Web and SW companies and is a senior advisor to DFJ-Mercury venture capital firm. He holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Rice University. He is a roundtable member of the James Baker Institute of Public Policy and a member of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship.
